HARBOUR ISLAND HISTORY:
Harbour Island began in the early 80's when the Beneficial Corporation developed Harbour Island, Inc. to oversee operations for the creation of a multi-use community that included business, retail and residential opportunities on a 177 acre island south of downtown Tampa. When Beneficial purchased the island, they changed the name from Seddon Island to Harbour Island.
The Master Association for the entire development is the Harbour Island Community Services Association, Inc. Many people refer to this association as HICSA for short.
HICSA is the sponsor of the www.harbourislandvoice.com website which was developed to serve as an informative resource for our neighborhoods, businesses, local community and potential buyers or leasees. Please feel free to contact us with your comments and suggestions.
